As the guide who loves the Lord took us on a Mountains tour and the history behind the convicts and the roads they endeavoured to build.
At one place in the bush, he showed how they made a box bridge using the sandstone and rocks that were their as a foundation to build on.
As we toured, we went to the most beautiful scenery that I have ever seen. Being scared of heights that I always had been, I went towards the fence with my arms out in front to look down. While I gazed upon the tops of the trees many miles/kilometres down, I was so thrilled that I was on top of the land of which I knew I was firmly upon a rock. Looking to the right of me was a huge waterfall tumbling off the top of the mountain pouring down to the bottom of the trees below of which was obscured by the massive view of the top of the trees.
Taking it in breathlessly I looked over to the left, I viewed a massive rock face structure. Being slow to rejoin the year eight group and the guide, I reluctantly pulled my self away from the view I was richly enjoying.
We continued the tour to go to a cricket oval. I wondered what was the value in this after seeing such a glorious view of what God has created. Then we listened to the story written below:
“On Monday 2nd November 1931, the Six Hour Day public holiday, a special cricket match took place at Blackheath between teams representing the local community and the Pottery Cricket Club from Lithgow. Organised by the Blackheath Municipal Council, the event was used to christen the newly installed malthoid wicket, the first of its kind in the Western Districts. The Test players Wendell Bill and Don Bradman, then aged 24, were specially invited to represent Blackheath in the local team.
Few in the crowd could have known what a memorable match it turned out to be. ‘The Don’, in his own words, “had a day out” and what a day it was! In one three-over period, in which he faced 22 balls, Bradman hit 10 sixes, 9 fours, a two and 2 singles, running up what was probably the fastest century ever scored. He was finally caught on 256, an innings that ensured a Blackheath victory.”
As I listened to the amazing story of this cricketer, Don Bradman, I thought about the relaxation and the enjoyment he got playing this game. It is to my understanding, Don got out for a duck in the next game he played in Sydney.
Going back to the school, I thought our tour was over. To my surprise there was more to come. Because the school is placed in the mountains, the tour guide along with the teacher and students took us into the bush. With the teacher in front to cut some brush away to make the path easier, I noticed a man made wall on the left of me. When we stopped the tour guide explained we were standing in the location of the old girls school and the man made wall was the foundations of the old school that got burnt down about a century ago.
The day over we were left with our thoughts and the school kids their homework.
Thinking about the bridge, I pondered over the crossing of circumstances in our lives and there is always away to the other side. Looking down to the tops of the trees, I thought about how some things may seem afar off in our lives but it can be still in our vision. Looking at the waterfall I had a glimmer of a thought that Jesus is the water of life and we need to drink from it. Gazing at the rocks I knew that Jesus is my rock and the rock of all ages. Understanding the story of Don Bradman, he kept his eye on the ball to score just over a century until he took his eye off the ball in the next game. Seeing the foundation of the old school reminded me that Jesus is the foundation that we need to be firmly on even though the wood is burnt down in our lives, He will still stand firm.
Quote from http://www.flickr.com/photos/blue_mountains_library_-_local_studies/4680010673/

Night Chills

Time progressed slowly when I was young, as some of us may recall. We would remember our going to bed and saying “good night” to our parents or guardian. I remember that my bed was tucked in so tightly with sheets and blankets I could hardly get into it. I know now beds were prepared this way in the era I had grown up in. Or, was there some other reason that I did not know about?

During the quiet of the night while the rest of my family were asleep, I would pull the top sheet and the blankets out from the bottom of the mattress. After being free from my tightly tucked bed, I would then go to the bottom of my bed head first, and see if I could turn around in a circle underneath the bed linen and blankets without going over the edge of the mattress. Every morning my sheets and blankets were on the floor. It was thought by my parents that I had nightmares.

Looking back it doesn’t seem long before I became a young man and left home. This was not easy. I had thought that I could change a lot of things in my life and I would be free; just like I was free from the tight bedding at home. It wasn’t long before I bought myself a digital clock and a quilt. My sleep became very restful because of my very own quiet clock, and a quilt.

One night, years later, I had an experience which I will never forget. It was a cold night and was in bed with my new wife.

(You know what’s coming don’t you. Well, you can just wait for the rest of the story!)

Thinking I was under the warm quilt I woke up very cold. Weary eyed, I looked over to the other side of the bed to find my honey rolled up in the quilt. I looked down at myself thinking that there maybe something over me, but shivering away there was nothing to be seen.

Not being able to move the quilt, “Are you quite warm, Hon?” I asked in a shivering voice.

“Yes.”

There was a silence for a while, when a question came. “Have you put the garbage out?”

“No! I am not going out in the cold. I am cold enough without the quilt over me.”

“Ok.”

At this point I had three choices. The first choice was to get angry and pull the quilt off her. The second was to wake her up, which I didn’t have heart to do, or third, was to speak with her in the morning. However, for the night, I laid there like a good husband.

Folding my arms and curling up trying to keep warm, I dozed in and out of sleep for the rest of the night. I woke up before her at day break.

(Now you are starting to get interested aren’t you?)

I got dressed into some warm clothes, and made myself a cup of coffee. While sitting drinking it in the kitchen my Hon woke up and came in.

My voice cracked. “Did you have a good sleep Hon?”

“Yes, I did. What about you?”

“No I didn’t; you had the quilt all night.”

“Why didn’t you wake me up?”

“I did; I asked if you were warm enough and you said ‘yes’, and then you asked if I put the garbage out.”

At this point my loving husband attitude had gone and she noticed it.

(I have your attention now!)

Well the “debate” went back and forth of the occurrences through the night as you may imagine. Then, she said something that changed the situation around.

“I honestly don’t remember talking to you, or asking you about the garbage.”

Realizing what had happened, I knew that it was time to reconcile with her. She was so upset I knew that my tender loving care had to come back.

It was a wonderful experience to forgive each other, and we still laugh at this experience we had that night.

I will always remember the joys we had when we were growing up and the well tucked in nights that we once enjoyed and we will always cherish the experiences of marriage as we grow to be more like Christ, forgiving one another.

(What happens with our quilt now? Not telling!)

A Rocky few weeks

Over the last three to four weeks there has been sickness in the family. First me with ear infection and flu symptoms, then Wade with the same kind of thing only a whole lot worse. I think there was about two to three trips to our local doctor and another two trips to the doctor at the hospital. He has gone to school today still not feeling the best.

Dane has had tonsilitus and he has not been the best as well and he also missed a few days off school.

Kath has been sick for a long time as well. We have some results but it is best to ask her what the problem is.

I have been wanting to get on my push bike to lose some weight. Because of sickness that has not been possible. I was able to get on the bike yesterday morning. I went around the block once and come back without a breath to keep going.

This morning it was absolutely freezing. Bad for November months. So I have not been for a ride on my bike this morning.

Please pray for us as Kath and I endeavour to lose some weight. I need to lose about 10 Kg.

Praise the Lord we have not had any more vandalism. Keep praying that they will keep away from here and in our community.

Wade and Dane’s exam is next week. Pray that they will study and bring back to mind what they have learnt.

Pray for God’s ministry over the net that I have created and people will be encouraged and saved.

Of course we constantly pray for my Dad and Mum that God will give them grace and wisdom as they are a testament of God’s grace in where they live.

My Holidays.

We started with our holidays by staying home from Monday to Thursday. During this time we cleaned up house to get ready to go to my sisters for a few days.

Whilst staying up until 2:30 of a morning we were looking for a back way to get there without going through Sydney using the “Tom Tom” navigator.

Leaving about 8:30 on Friday morning we headed off. When we arrived we talked for a while then unpacked the car. Not knowing how long we were going to stay. We thought it would be Sunday that myself and the boys would be coming home. Realizing that it was a long weekend, we decided to stay until Tusday.

Whilst at my sisters place we cleaned out a flat and we were so pleased to do this for her. We went to the church that she goes to. With supprise we found “Iron and Clay” the music group was there. We had heard them at the Lithgow Baptist Church a couple of months ago. We enjoyed the service.

Although raining off and on we enjoyed the break from home and home duties.

My sister cooked some good meals for us and Wade cooked a Tuna Bake for us one night.

we came home on the Tuesday and we had a break on Wednesday.

After pre arranging we went to see my Dad and Mum on Thursday of which we had a great time. The boys Wade and Dane had a play at shuffle board at the retirement home.

After a good time of talking and seeing mum walking a whole lot better, we had afternoon tea and left around 3:20 pm.

We then went and visited some people nearby. We tried surprise one of the family by coming. After waiting to surprise her, she phones the home and said that she will be staying for dinner at the Church. At this point we thought we better tell her we were at the house waiting. By the time she arrived home our time was up. So we had a little chat, then we had to leave for home.

We arrived home about 11:20 pm.

We had a bit of a rest on friday but then I decided to clean the Kitchen. I guess it rubbed off a little after cleaning a flat.

On Saturday we shifted a pine tree that was in a pot but it started to take root in the ground. So I had to move it. Wade mowed the lawn and whipper snipped the edges for us.

Today we are going to visit their Grand mother. I am sure that the boys will have a good time there as well.

My thanks goes to my wife and my sister and nephew, and my Dad and mum. Also I am sure Wade & Danes Grandmother as well for giving us a break from home and general routine.

My Day Visit

Wade came with me to Mosvale and berema as Dane is very sick with tonsillitis and flue symptoms. It was a good trip with Wade as we discussed some important issues regarding him becoming of age. Mind you he is only coming up to fourteen years of age this year.

Having chest infections for a while, it was good to finally go and see Dad and Mum. Dad is looking well, although he has a growth on the side of his lip that needs to be removed.

Mum is not doing so well as she is not remembering things so good. But health wise she is doing fine.

Having got lost on the way home, I was so paranoid this time as I travelled. I was not only going to the retirement home, I also was going to a friends house in Berema.

I arrived at the retirement home in good time and without getting lost. As I talked to Dad we discussed Navigators, politics, His day surgery coming up, Minor car accidents. At 84 I found him to hold conversation very well.

We had a beautiful lunch with them. Chicken type stew with vegies and rice. After having our conversations, we left about three o’clock to go to our friends house. Well I followed the directions. When I got to the road I thought they lived in, I could not find the house.

After a few conversations we found ourselves on the wrong road. We were just a little early to find the house. After we told our friends that we were on the wrong road, they kindly offered for us to meet them under the free way and they would come and get us.

When they arrived, I was laughing until we reached their home. Then we all laughed together, sharing how each of us were so determined that we were at the correct location.

Wade enjoyed having fun with our friends dog. I was talking over small business issues with our friend. The afternoon went quickly as we shared amazing things, and enjoying the fellowship of some good friends.

They then offered us some chicken and sweet potatoe before we went on our way.

Our friends then said that they would take us into Berema road to make sure we would not get lost. But guess what happened? On the way back I missed the turn off to go to the Hume Highway. Not knowing where I was we finally ended up in Moss Vale. I said to Wade well we will get some petrol and we will head back to the freeway. When I arrived at the garage that I thought would be open, it was closed for renovations. Oh no, I thought. I wonder what am I going to do now. So I said to Wade we will head back to see if we can get onto the Hume Highway and we will look for another garage.

We finally found the Hume Highway, and we diligently looked for another garage. With our petrol gauge not working properly, we could see our petrol consumption going down, and our need to find an amenities getting greater.

We got onto the Northern Road. I knew there was a garage on the right. Guess what, it was closed. Well, with my gauge getting lower, we continued on. We finally got to the next garage and it was open. Well Praise the Lord.

We parked the car quickly, ran into the amenities, after doing so, we continued to get petrol.

What a relief lol.

We continued home and when we got into Lithgow we decided to buy a big mac for the family each, as we settled down and talked about the day to my wife.

Well, the moral of the story. GET A NAVAGATOR PHIL LOL

I hope you enjoyed this. I did after I wrote it lol

Phil B

Phil’s Up Date 14:08:10

Well it has been a busy couple of weeks. Getting the Agenda ready for the first meeting for Frolllic has been a busy adventure. The first meeting went great and many positive remarks went to all the committee members.

It has been also a busy couple of weeks because we have been hunting down the right kind of computer for us. As this one has been a good computer, It has problems in restarting after being closed down. So we have had to leave it on all night. This has turned out to be a fire hazard concern.

With God’s help, we are going to attempt to get a very low interest loan. Once applied for hopefully next Wednesday 18:08:10 it will take up to three working weeks to get the loan. The payments will be substantially low as well. Also reducing other commitments will need to come into play. One of those things, we have reduced our internet account and also I am changing my bank account for less fees.

The loan will be done through the help of a charity organization.

Unfortunately, I missed my eye doctor appointment last Monday 9:08:10. Because I misunderstood it to be two weeks that is, from Thursday to the second Thursday. before he would see me, I did not realize that the appointment was made to the closest in two weeks that is, the next time that the eye doctor would be in Lithgow which was on the Monday before the Thursday.

As a result, I have had to make another appointment for Thursday 19:08:10. Because of a small shadow in my right eye after cataract surgery and laser treatment, I need to go back to see my eye doctor for him to check my eye out.

Kath’s fall was minor bruising after her fall. So we are thankful for that.

Wade sat on our bed the other day and broke the middle support in our bed. We had to replace the timber. We are thankful that we had another piece to replace the timber.

All is well, Still waiting to get our window fixed after someone had put something through it, but all in good time it will be fixed.

I hope everything is good with everyone. and hope we here from you.

Eye Sight, My Sight and His Sight

TITLE: Eye Sight, My Sight and His Sight
By Philip Barrington
07/27/10

Note of interest

The word “see” is recorded in the KJV Bible in five hundred and forty nine verses. To have this unique ability to see is a truly needed attribute to our bodies.

You see, this is my Story

Seeing partially because one may have eye problems is disturbing. Thus my story of seeing problems I have had.

From about the age of twenty one, I complained that I could not see properly. With great concern I went to the optometrist to have my eyes tested. With much correspondence they agreed to send me to another eye doctor to investigate my eyes.

After examining me they told me to read under a bright light. Having done this for quite a while, I was still having problems to see.

Marching myself back to the Optometrist, I had my eyes tested again. After my eye test, he told me that I did not really need glasses but there is a slight problem with my vision. I could wear reading glasses if I wanted to.

Opting to wear reading glasses, I struggled because sometimes I did not know where I put them. Well, you know how it is. So reading became a less of a problem.
Only to See the Dirt

Struggling through life as a cleaner, many times I had to get close to the object of cleaning, especially when my boss yelled at me to show me where it was not clean. It was difficult to wear reading glasses while cleaning. For many years, I changed my reading glasses every two to three years.

You See, More Health Problems Found

Receiving an injury to my cervical spine at work, quitting my job was the only option.
In time I moved to the Mountains. During my time here, the pain in my lower back got worse. Having more scans on my lumber spine, the doctors found that I had a hole in my spine. Goodness knows how it happened.

You See, I needed to see

Also during my time here in the Mountains, I found that I needed bifocals. Wearing them for a couple of years, my eyes seem to have got worse. I went to the Optometrist. After having the test, I could not pay for my new glasses. I carried on with the glasses I had.

Within approximately, six months, I went back to the Optometrist to have another eye test done. After the eye test the eye doctor said that he could not give me glasses because I had opacities. I would then need to go to a specialist.

Nearly back at my car, Confused, I made a beeline back to the optometrist. I asked very demandingly “What are opacities? Opacities are cataracts. Oh, I know what cataracts are I said with determination.

I then asked; well, how come six months ago you could give me glasses but today you cannot? Reasonable question don’t you think? After things been explained to me; after being assertive with my questions, I finally understood what was happening with my eyes. I did need cataract surgery. Does not “cataracts” sound more common than Opacities?

After about two years of having surgery on two eyes, I only need laser treatment on one of my eyes tomorrow Thursday 29 July 2010. Being fifty six, I can see much clearer now than when I was twenty one. I do wear reading glasses now. After laser treatment is finished, I will probably get long distance glasses for driving.

His Sight

We need to be able to see clearly as Christians. When sin came into the world, the knowledge of good and evil was seen. God had knowledge of the Angel that was cast out of heaven that became Satan.

We need to see clearly, the marks of sin in our own lives so that one can clean it up. Not like I missed the dirty marks at work because I could not see clearly.

How do we see clearly? We see clearly by staying close to God and getting the right information. Unlike me, receiving an unclear diagnosis on my eyes, we need to be close to God and Spiritual encouragement for our Spiritual eye sight.

Once we receive the right spiritual sight, we are then able to see clearly and be more available for our Lord’s service

Family time catch up 14:7:10

Well, dad it is good to see you in technology. Emails is one of the best correspondence one can have in today’s modern society.

I am still trying to get over a chest infection, but I am getting there slowly. The doctor has given me a special puffer with five repeats. On my next visit to the doctor, I will ask him why I am getting so many chest infections. I think it is time to get down to the bottom of it.

Dane has still got a bit of a cough but he is getting there.

Kath is still using electronic cigarettes which helps her to smoke less and we are still praying that she will be able to give it up.

Over the last few days, I have been very discouraged about my encouragements not being read from my websites. creating them has been a much learning exercise.

Whilst doing a writing for “Faithwriters” I came across this verse:

“How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?” Rom 10:14

I had read this verse many times before, but this verse encouraged me to keep spreading my encouragements from the Bible over the internet.

After doing this I got more enthusiastic by bringing back to life a business opportunity that I have had in existence for some months now.

The third thing that happened to me is now I am the vice president and vice chairman of “frolllic” this stands for “Friends of Lithgow Library learning Centre.” The idea is to promote the library accumulate funds to do so. I also have to make a pamphlet or flyer for a book promotion.

Well Dad, family and friends I better go as there is much to do.

Sometime when it is convenient, I would like to show my dad how to access at least one of my sites. Again I congratulate you on your email address.

This is posted on

http://ourlivesnthings.blogspot.com

Link to my Encouragements is:

http://allforjesus-4.blogspot.com

bye for now.

Bro Phil.

7th July Update for those who want to read it.

I have been rather busy. My computer has been threatening to give up on me. It has had trouble switching off in the right manner. It seems like it is getting stuck between off and on. I am now leaving it on all the time and switching the monitor off and the modem off.

Having said this I have been busy creating websites and updating my blogsites. Also I had to get an online password program so that if my computer crashes, I can still access the Library. Saving my passwords into "I need my Password" has been an ongoing task. Most of my passwords were only remembered by "Firefox" on my computer which would not do me any good if my computer crashed.

My website links are now found in http://allforjesuslinks.blogspot.com. This is not your common blogsite as I have been very creative in this blogsite and other blogsites and websites that I have created.

On the home front, other than computer problems, I am sick with a chest infection. Dane has a serious cough as well. I am under medication and Dane cannot see the doctor until Monday. If he gets worse we will take him to the Hospital.

Yes my credit card is paid up. If this was not the case I would have been in serious trouble now. Price of food is climbing and my one teenager and one nearly teenager is eating more than me lol. Well You know what it is like.

I am still with Faithwriters and improving my skills of writing. I have been wanting to get a writing job. One day that may come to fruition.

Kath is still not the best, but she is trying to give up smoking. But after smoking for so long and so much she is still having difficulties.

Well I guess that is all the News for now. I pray that God will richly bless you and that His grace be sufficient for you in the time of need.

Bro Phil

My Unfortunate View

It seems like everywhere I go I find that someone wants to break the law to get where they are going. Or the wrong that others do forces the person who wants to do right to do wrong in order to prevent a collision. Just in general living it is accepted that if one does wrong, then the rightous has to fall into sink. This is done in order to keep the peace.
Oh what a tragic downfall the world is facing when one is forced to stop on the road because someone is breaking the law. Or forced to go along with things because of someones wrongful view of the ethics in society that we are all forced to live in.
The danger is that the wrong people do falls into a demised tragedy to where one thinks they are right in their wrongful acts. It is therefore a tragedy when one is told they cannot enter their own driveway because it is holding them up in some way. It is a tragedy when one forces their right of way whilst driving because they know that you do not want to damage your car or you would not damage theirs because it is too expensive to do so. It is a tragedy when you get stopped using a shop register at the shop becomes one is closing down then at a blink of an eye they reopen. Someone else then reopens and calls someon to their register that just arrived.
I gues respect and order has gone out the window from God's laws into a miry clay of disrespectful filth of the wrong they seem to enjoy.
I would even submit that some non Christian or not religous people would abhor the disrespect, and disorder of today's society.
Why not come to Christ and help others to do so also that we can live in a cleaner society so that my unfortunate view can change.

My Blogs & website with Spiritual Clarity.

I have been very busy setting up my web page http://pkwd1.tripod.com/encourage I have also started another blog account http://pkwd1.tripod.com/blog.

Many blogs of encouragement are found at http://allforjesus-4.blogspot.com.

Other than this I have been sick on and off. Being the first time driving to Moss Vale without Kath; I thought we did quite well. At one time on the Hume highway we thought we had gone past the turn off. Conversation during the trip was missed talking to Kathryn. Dad was waiting anxiously at the door for us. He rang Dane's mobile just as we were pulling in. We had Fish Chips and salad for lunch and a great conversation. Myself and The boys and Myself then left Mossvale to come to Kiama. It was a very good trip. We missed a turn off somewhere but we followed our noses following the Kiama directions. We arrived hear at Jean Halls place about 4:30. We talked a lot without unloading the car. About 6:00 Pm we had a bbq Steak, Sausages and salad. We then talked and talked catching up with old times with Laurie & Jean. Also during this time Wade and Dane were handling snakes with Lauries help and taking videos of Wade and Dane handling the snakes. Myself stayed away from them. During the course of conversation; I said I was going to bed; But the conversation kept going. Finally We went to bed. Wade slept with Harlie the dog, in Matts room as he was not at home. Dane & I slept in the caravan. Wad & Dane are taking it in turns to sleep in the house well protected by the dogs.
Our plans for today is to have a look at Berkely shopping center ie, Flemmings where I used to work and where I grew up.
I have just had a shower Wrote this email Now for some toast.

Second day of Kiama Holidays

9:1:2010

We started out the day before very exhausted. But we had a long sleep Saturday morning the 9:01:10. Did the regular things like breakfast and showers.
Jean took us out to where I grew up at 27 Ranchby Ave Lakeheights We then preceded to Berkely shopping center. The old Flemming shop was pulled down and it and the arcade was boarded off. It was non existent. Bilo was sort of on the old car park site.
We then went in Jean's car to old work mates places. That is; Those that worked at Flemmings when I was sixteen or seventeen. somewhere around there. First we went to Mrs Humphery's place. She worked in Variety at Flemmings when I was there. She is 80 now; still sharp as a tack. She well remembered me.The kids had drinks and chocolate biscuits we stayed for about an hour.
We then went to Mrs Forners place probably in her 70's. She was my boss at flemmings when I worked there. We had drinks and biscuits there as well. She could not believe how much I had changed. She nearly did not let me in the door. When I said that Jean was there she told me to get Jean and come in. She could not recognise me physically or my personality.
During the course of visits we tried to visit Mrs LLoyed who was a Senier shelf packer there but she was not home. We are going to try another time. We also wanted to visit Kath Stutz who used to look after the fridges. But she was assleep we think. She just come off night shift. We might try her again sometime.
On the way home; we went to Woolworths bought bread, milk, Icecream, and frozen pies for snaks. Then we continued and bought some hot chips. We went home and polished them off.
I then had a nap after a brief talk at the table.
I felt in the whole day I was in a Time Warp of some kind. But it was great. We enjoyed ourselves immensly.

Third day of Kiama Holidays

10:1:2010

I started out early not sure what time. I had a cupa. While having my cuppa; Wade was up and about to. So he showed me how to play an xbox. game. It was a game trying to escape from the police. Believe me I am no good at that one; lol. Well; after doing that I was tired again; no wonder; I went back to sleep in the caravan. I would start snoring and wake myself up in intervals. After breakfast I spoke to Laurie about the computers. Laurie started to work on the computers. We checked on Dane regularly. He just seemed to sleep and sleep. We found out when he woke around 12:30 Pm that he was playing games on the tv in Matts room where he slept that night. Matt was away. When he awoke I asked him if he wanted breakfast or lunch. He had breakfast. Whilst Laurie was trying to have two computers working for us; myself, Wade and Dane went to the rock pool around 2:00pm. I am not sure how long we stayed but it must have been for over an hour. During the time there; we all got very minor cuts from the rocks in the rock pool. Wade was wanting to go home because it was too hot. After a bit of rock climbing around the pool we made our way back down. During the course of coming down the rocks; Dane decided to show Wade how to get down. Much to our dismay and his; Dane slipped a little and scratched himself more. He was ok; he got back into the salt water to relieve the soreness. We went back to the car; went back to Laurie and Jeans. Jean put some antiseptic on it. We are all ok.
We talked around the table a bit. When we got back; Laurie informed us that the computers were no good and were going to the tip. While this is disappointing; Laurie is going to see what he can do about another one for us. He would have to have a look.
Now; I am typing my journal whilst waiting for dinner. So today's journal will be edited or added to before the night is finished.
Continued: After dinner we went to the big blow hole at Kama. It had all changed with new fencing since the last time I saw it some time ago. There was no activity in it. on the way out we bought Ice cream from the icecream van just outside the blowhole. One was chocolate with nuts and the other was chocolate with flake. $4:00 ea. ah well it is the holidays.
We then continued to the little blow hole. Turning corners; we were thinking are we going to find our way back. We found it. While we were there we spoke to a Canadian family mostly the man. He said he was going to sydney to try eating crockadile at China Town. We were waiting for the hole to blow out some water. It did two or 3 times about 30 to 60 centermeters off the top of the hole. After the canadian got his pictures waiting anxiously we then headed back to Laurie and Jeans house. Dane followed the directions backwards for me by looking at "the little blowhole signs. We arrived back unlost ie if that is a word.
After talking to Matt, Amanda and some friends of theres we contemplated playing UNO but we were all so tired. We all went to our own bed or shower and went to sleep. (sleep in our bed I mean) Dane played on the laptop, for I do not know how long. I fell asleep after eating a meat pie.

fourth day of Kiama Holidays

11:1:2010

Today; after breakfast we went to town to the shops. Another time warp. So different to lithgow ie, the way that everyone was dressed. It is truely a tourist place here at Kiama. We parked in a car park and walked through town. We walked passed all the interesting shops that Wade wanted to go to. He winged at me a bit. I needed a haircut and a beard trim. Also to buy some shorts for Dane and myself. The first place we got to was a barber who did pensioner prices for haircut. I got my beard trim there also. We then walked a little further and went to woolworths to get some drinks. and not far from there a drum stick each. Wade and Dane bought a movie there called "12 rounds" We then continued to walk towards the car only stopping on the way to the interesting shops that Wade and Dane wanted to go to. We come accross Vinies and bought two pair of shorts for me and one pair of shorts for Dane. We then walked back a little and went to Lifeline to buy the second pair of shorts for Dane. At some stage in the main street of town we stopped and shared hot chips. After leaving there we walked into a shop of model cars. After looking around Dane noticed that they sell the recharge for Optus there for his Phone. We bought that. Dane had a little trouble recharging so we decided to do it when we got back to Laurie and Jeans house
After realizing we had spent enough money we decided to go back to the car and go back to Laurie and Jeans house. When we got back I recharged Dane's phone for him. I went and had a sleep after spending a little time with the boys and told them to behave themselves. I woke about 5:45 pm Dinner was nearly ready. We had corned beef, mashed potato, pumkin, cauliflour, beans. I can't think what else but it was delicious.
After dinner I got into pain. For the first time here I was in a lot of pain. I went to the car and got the pain tablets and took two. after this it settled down nicely. I rested in the lounge chair. Kath rang and talked to the boys. Wade wants to start the reptiles with the license. Mum has suggested that they start looking after the birds properly first. I agree with what is said but I would not mind in doing some preparation in this way.
Dane's toe has been sore all day. He cought it on the carpet as well and lifted the nail. But he is ok.
It looks like it might rain. I hope we can still go to the animal park tomorrow.
That's it for now.

fith day of Kiama Holidays

12:1:2010

What an educational day. We went to the animal park at Nowra after breakfast. First I went to Woolworths for Jean to buy some bread rolls and lasange for tonight. Jean packed for the bbq we were having at the park. When we arrived they did a show for the Camel as it progressed we saw a show for the Koala. We then contued to look at other animals with expectation that the crockadile show was going to be on. Wade and Dane wanted to see this so much. They showed that the salt water crockadile went after what they call "easy meat" If it is easy to get they will eat it. After spending some time there Jean said she will go up and start the bbq. We stayed and watched the salt water crock show.
After This show we went to eat our bbq with the expectation of seeing the reptile show straight after. This was so educational. They showed non poison snakes as well as poison ones. They gave a talk on how to get the license. Also how much of investment as well as a hobby can teach children responsibility. They are so easy to look after and feed. They also told us how to get them and that is you get them from people who have a breeders license. When one gets a license which is accesible from the net, you buy the reptile from breeders only as you need to record their license and details in the book everytime a reptile is bought. To buy them you go to petlink.com.au to find the breeders and the reptiles for sale. As the person talked about how much of investment they can be and earn money from them I became very interested.
It was such an awsome time to see both small and large reptiles.
I came back to Laurie and Jeans and colapsed with pain. Took two pain tablets and went to bed. The day had been so hot and muggy; but all was worth it.
We got many photos of animals and some of the boys; Wade and Dane.
After my sleep we had dinner. Then some of us watched TV while I wrote this journal.
I might watch the tv now.
Phil.

Sixth day of Kiama Holidays

13:1:2010

I was late getting up this morning around 10:00am. After a bit of a talk around the table with Laurie and Jean; I had breakfast.
After breakfast I then told Wade and Dane that I was going to the beach. Wade did not want to go. But Jean and myself convinced him to go. So off we went to the beach. Being a little nervous I stood in the water to make sure my eyes were not off them. After a little while we decided to go up to the amenities together. On the way we spoke to the life guards who assured us that the water was safe as. After coming back from the ammenities; the boys went in again for a while as nervous dad watched them to make sure everything was ok.
After a little while we decided to go up to the showers so that they could wash the sand off.
After doing this we went back to the car, put our towls in the car, and checked out the parking time. As everything was ok; we walked down the beach towards the rocks and did one of my favorite pass times. We climbed the rocks and had a little look at the sea life crustations that were in the water, between the rocks. Wade managed to pick up some shells. So did Dane but not as many. We really enjoyed the time climbing around the rocks near the beach.
After a really good time of doing this and spending time together we decided to go for lunch. Between the three of us; We ate two large boxes of hot chips. We then left there to go to the big blow hole to see if it was blowing through. It still did not. We went to the Small blow hole and it was pretty dead as well. So the seas were calm.
We then headed back to Laurie and Jeans. had a cupa coffee while we talked with family for a while. I then thought it was time to clean up the caravan and get our clothes ready for washing. But it started to rain. I came back inside and talked before dinner. When dinner was cooked it was "Curried chicken with rice"
Now we are resting after dinner.
Phil.

Coming Home.

seventh day of Kiama Holidays

14:1:2010

On this day We decided to visit some places we had been and to climb the rocks once again. We took the camara with us. We took many photos. I came back in pain. So I rested the rest of this day.

15:1:10

Leaving Kiama at around 8:30 am We headed for home. On the way we stopped at The Famous Pie shop for a pie ea. We had potato pie with stacks of potato on the top.

While we were there we rang mum to tell her we were on our way. A little confused she thought dad was not there.

We proceeded to Moss Vale. As we pulled in, Dad was not far away. We had a coffee with them. Dad explained he was playing Carpet bowls. After our quick coffee we left to come home. Dad thought he might get in another game before they finished.

We pulled into Bunnings to get Wade and Dane a soft drink. After nearly leaving my bank card there, we continued out of the Bunnings car park. After leaving the car park, Would you believe I did not recognise the Northern Road. So after a kilometre or so I saw a big red sign to slow down at the curve. I did not remember seeing that sign before. So I turned back towards Nerrellan. I had to quickly go to the side of the road as the truck behind me was just too close for comfort. After going just past mcdonalds I though I would not be able to turn back. I thought we were going to end up in Campbell town. I then quickly changed lanes with safety and pulled into a garage. After receiving directions we found that we were on the correct road lol.

So we proceeded to go to the back of the garage to proceed in the right direction. After travelling on the Northern Road for the second time. We came across the big red sign again. As we got closer we found that it was a nice shiney very new sign that looked like it had just been put there

After being frustrated about this. I told the boys that the joke about me being turned around three times and then go the wrong way is so right.

After the problems with not recognising the Northern Road our trip back home went without a problem.

We all arrived home safely but tired.

We unloaded the car. Talked with Kath and then rested.

Thanks Jean for a wonderful time.

Your evening meals supurb.

It’s Time; It’s God’s Timing.

It has been a while since the last time I wrote. The Friday night before the Wednesday surgery on my eye; I ended up in emergency in hospital with an infection. Could you imagine; I was so worried that it would stop my surgery. So I kept on telling myself that God is my heavenly Father and that he had everything in control. Also I told him that I had been using my eyes for His service. I went into the hospital for my surgery and was debating in myself should I tell them everything. So I decided to tell them everything bit by bit and very slowly so no confusion was made. Although I got a few strange looks; The nurses reported everything to the anesthesiologist. Just before I went into surgery he looked at my report and the hospital report regarding the complications I have been having. They decided to go ahead.

Just before the surgery they give you a needle to put you to sleep for about 20 minutes so they can put what they call a block in your eye. When I had the left eye done they had woke me before I went into theatre. This time; I went into theatre of course not realizing. I heard a voice saying "Philip" "Philip" I woke up reluctantly and said "am I in theatre" because all I could see was lights. So just for a breif moment I did not know if I was in surgery or heaven.

Now I can use my eyes clearly for His service Amen!!!

Monday 17th August.

We can Praise the Lord that Dane does not need surgery at this point in time. But doing ok.

Things have settled down on the computer in regards to setting things up. But no doubt, while I have been sitting in my chair creating this blog site and others, I have thoroughly enjoyed it. I am praying for comments and for people to access my bogs and read them. I guess I will never know how many lives I have and will touch through the help of my God.

There is still a lot of work to be done around the house, and even in the back yard. Yet without a computer sometimes with separation of time. Yet I am perplexed at the response I get when I suggest something to someone how they could better their way of using the computer.

I do not believe in influencing people to my point of view. But rather, it would be appreciated sometimes if it was said "I will consider that or this". If anyone reads this I want them to know; I am not hitting at any one person. But rather I am receiving negative comments from a variety of people in all walks of life. They could be businesses or businesses from home or just the play computer operator who just wants to have fun.

These are the comments.

1. I do not want to get on the internet because of all the rubbish that gets on it in front of me.

A. Well; it is possible to block & bounce in email and you can choose what you let into your household. Hey; you may say I do not know how to do that. So I will just limit my computer to this; and chuck out the rest. This is not necessary a good idea. This atitude is letting the computer control you; not you controling the computer.

You can always take up a short computer lesson and learn. Also there are books out there for your type of windows and computer. Also. Hey you could spend hours during your holiday to get to know your computer. Or if you have the money; take it to the computer shop and let them help you what to block.

The advantage to this is that, first. It is going to save you some time. I recently joined a little message program that lets me put things in my blogspot and other social networks. This is now saving me heaps of time. Because I only need to type it in once and it goes to all blogs and social networks.

Another advantage for spending time to get to know your computer is that in the long run it is going to save you some money. Hey, get to know some virus scanners for your computer and examine what they do. You can go to the internet to look these up.

Afraid of the internet or your computer.
